The tennis star appears in the buff in the new issue of Glamour to celebrate her title as one of the Women of the Year — and admits that although winning Wimbledom three times is nice, it’s not everything. “I use my trophies as punch bowls,” Williams laughs. – NY Daily News

ESPN’s magazine is trying to give the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue a run for its money by featuring naked athletes on the cover and inside the pages of the upcoming “Body Issue,” on newsstands this Friday October 9. Will Serena face more punishment for Freakout

Almost three weeks after Serena Williams completely lost her cool and verbally abused a lineswoman with an obscenity-laced tirade during her US Open semifinal versus Kim Clijsters, the incident has still not been resolved in terms of sanctions against Williams. The matter is currently in the hands of the International Tennis Federation and its Grand Slam administrator, Bill Babcock. There is a process underway and it appears no ruling will come down until well into November, which would be roughly two months after Williams went after the still yet-to-be-named lineswoman, brandishing her racquet. Part of the reason for the delay is that, according to the Grand Slam Code of Conduct, Williams must be given time, “to provide such evidence as she deems to be relevant to the investigation.” The question of punishment for Williams is approaching the stage of “justice delayed is justice denied.” The Globe and Mail

Serena to be New Face of Tampax Tampons

Terez, just because I look like a man and act like a man doesn't make me a man...

Serena will be cashing in some major bills thanks to her new endorsement gig. Proctor and Gamble has signed Serena to endorse Tampax Tampons.  Serena will be branding the Tampax brand on billboard and print ads, along with the Tampax website which will feature videos of Serena and “mother nature” in a tennis match. Print ads started running last week in teen based publications such as Teen Vogue. According to reports, Tampax has spent a total of $26 million dollars in advertising since June. This is a good look for Serena especially after her little quarrel during the US Open. -Bossip

Serena Williams won’t change after U.S. Open meltdown

T, all you have to do is tuck it in and no one knows....

Serena Williams may have apologized for her obscenity-laden tirade Saturday at the U.S. Open, but chances are it’s going to happen again because this diva isn’t going to change. “I am passionate about tennis, and I’m never going to stop being who I am,” the potty-mouthed pro proclaimed at an M2 party Tuesday night feting her cover for Hamptons mag. “I’m still gonna grunt, I’m still gonna argue, and there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s nothing wrong with being who you are and expressing who you are, but in the right way.” Judging by her now-infamous outburst against a line judge – in which she unleashed a tirade of profanity after being called on a foot fault – Williams isn’t the best loser. But as a woman who plays to win, Williams is indignant that she’s been attacked for living in the heat of the moment – and for doing, well, her job. “People have done and said way more than I did,” she argued. “I think it’s just [a big deal] because of who I am.” – NY Daily News .
