RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Suspended NFL star Michael Vick has left a federal lockup in Kansas, apparently bound for Virginia to appear at a bankruptcy hearing next week.

The U.S. Bureau of Prisons Web site showed Wednesday that Vick was no longer at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan. It listed his status as “in transit.”

It was not clear when he left, or where he was. But two weeks ago, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Frank Santoro demanded that Vick to testify at an April 2 hearing in Newport News about whether his Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan should be confirmed. Another judge issued a court order directing federal marshals to bring the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback to Virginia for the hearing.

Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Victoria Joseph said bureau policy prohibits disclosure of the prisoner’s destination until after he arrives. Vick’s attorneys did not immediately return phone messages left by The Associated Press.

Vick is serving 23 months for bankrolling a dogfighting conspiracy. He is eligible to move into home confinement no earlier than May 21 and is scheduled to be released from custody on July 20.

Vick will likely be kept in a southeastern Virginia jail until the hearing, but it wasn’t known which one. Newport News Sheriff Gabe Morgan said he had not been notified that Vick would be staying in the city jail, but it was possible Vick and federal marshals would show up unannounced.

It must suck that he has to go back to Prison as soon as the hearing is over. He did the crime and now has served most of his time. Now only a few months left. What team will embrace the Michael Vick Experience when he returns? I bet someone will. -TO

Michael Vick Pens book from Pen

I hope you like my book. I wrote it while in Prison.

I hope you like my book. I wrote it while in Prison. Enjoy!

Jailed former NFL QB Michael Vick allegedly has written a book while in prison and is seeking co-authors and a publisher. “That may or may not be in the making,” Daniel Meachum said. “That would too premature right now. But I’m committed to helping Mike get back on his feet.”  – Atlanta Journal-Constitution

What are the odds that Vick writes a childrens book?  He probably read clifford growing up, you know the story about the big red Dog. -TO

Michael Vick needs a Lift

Payback is a bitch

Payback is a bitch

NORFOLK, Va. — A judge says suspended NFL star Michael Vick should appear in person at a bankruptcy hearing in Virginia and pay his own way from a Kansas prison.

At a hearing Wednesday in Norfolk, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Frank Santoro rejected the government’s objection to Vick’s appearance at the April 2 hearing. Officials have cited the cost and logistics of transporting Vick from the federal prison at Leavenworth, where he is serving time for a dogfighting conviction.

The U.S. attorney’s office had suggested Vick could testify by video.

But Santoro flatly rejected that, saying he couldn’t properly assess Vick’s credibility and demeanor over a television.

Imagine that, having to pay your own way to your bankruptcy hearing from a Kansas Prison.  He filed for bankruptcy for a reason. He has no money. Mike Vick is screwed. I think he should hop on a greyhound bus or hitch hike his way there. -TO

Michael Vick House for Sale?

Please buy my house

Please buy my house

DULUTH, Ga. — For would-be owners of Michael Vick‘s suburban Atlanta mansion, the big opportunity has arrived.

The eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom house with a four-car garage goes up for auction Tuesday morning. The minimum bid is $3.2 million, with proceeds going toward the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback’s debts.

The house also features a pool room, a movie theater and an indoor golf range.

Vick remains behind bars, serving out the remainder of his two-year sentence for his involvement in a dogfighting ring.

Vick needs to sell his house bad. I was thinking about making an offer, but Terez is moving to Buffalo to hang with our boy Terrell. Michael Vick will be back in the NFL at some point and my guess is that he will be a winning quarterback again. Let’s wait and see. -TO
