![]() see you later Boston, I am going back to Cali BOSTON — Manny Ramirez is severing one of his last ties to Boston. The former Red Sox outfielder put his Boston penthouse condominium on the market for $8.5 million on Wednesday, the same day he agreed to a $45-million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Michael Doherty of City Life Real Estate, the listing broker for the 37th-floor condominium at the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, tells the Boston Herald it’s the “most magnificent apartment” in the city. In addition to panoramic views of the city, the 4,500-square-foot condo has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and three valet parking spaces. Ramirez paid $5.8 million for the condo in 2001, and put it on the market for $6.9 million in 2005. Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press No surprise there, he wants to exercise his boston demons and and severe all ties with Boston. The only way to do that is to sell his property. We’ll see if he gets his asking price in this economy. Good Luck with that Manuel. -TO
![]() We did it! Shots on me. ORLANDO, Florida — Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers finally reached some common ground in their negotiations, according to a source close to the talks. After multiple failed attempts, Ramirez and the Dodgers agreed to general terms Tuesday on a two-year, $45 million deal. A source told ESPN.com that obstacles still remain to completing the contract. Agent Scott Boras didn’t immediately return a phone call seeking comment. The Dodgers announced last week that Boras had declined the team’s fourth offer to the star outfielder — a one-year, $25 million contract with a $20 million player option for 2010.The outfielder is expected to travel to Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Ramirez would then report to the Dodgers’ spring training camp in Arizona. Enrique Rojas is a reporter for ESPNdeportes.com. Information from ESPN.com’s Jerry Crasnick contributed to this report Manny got what he wanted in the end. He stays in LaLa Weird and gets paid. For all the haggling the Dodgers tried to pull, they couldn’t resist the Manny Mystique. The guys flat out puts ass in the seats. It’s always good to be a Scott Boras client. -TO
![]() Manny standing by his exotic rental The great Manny Ramirez has once again rejected the latest offer from Frank McCourt and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers latest offer was a two-year$45 million contract with most of the money deferred. McCourt is taking some quiet time to think over the latest two-year proposal from agent Scott Boras at $45 million — $25 million for 2009 and $20 million for 2010, with an opt-out clause for the free-agent left fielder after the coming season. Chalk it up as another case of the Manny’s. -TO
