The NCAA has combined its investigations of two former USC star athletes into a single probe of the Trojans’ athletic program, the Los Angeles Times reported.

In separate investigations, the NCAA has been looking into allegations that Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and NBA lottery pick O.J. Mayo both received improper benefits while at USC

The attorneys for Louis Johnson, a former associate of Mayo, said that in a meeting with a Pacific 10 Conference executive, they were told that the NCAA had combined the two probes into a larger investigation of whether USC had shown a lack of institutional control, according to the Times.

“It makes sense,” attorney Anthony V. Salerno said, according to the Times. “The NCAA looks at the program as a whole, and you may be talking about systemic problems in these cases of payments by agents. Yes, these were different teams and coaches. Rather than do it piecemeal, look at the institution.”

Salerno and David Murphy represent Johnson, a former associate of Mayo and Rodney Guillory, who Johnson says received more than $200,000 in cash and gifts from a representative of the BDA Sports Management agency and passed along some of those gifts to Mayo.

Bush is alleged to have accepted thousands of dollars in benefits for himself and his family in the form of rent owed on a home owned by a would-be sports marketer.

Both athletes have said they did nothing wrong.

The NCAA and a Pac-10 investigator declined to comment, while Pac-10 commissioner Tom Hanson could not be reached for comment, the Times reported.

USC basketball coach Tim Floyd said he hasn’t talked to the NCAA since May and has “never, ever heard” that the investigations were being combined, the Times reported. Football coach Pete Carroll could not be reached for comment, according to the report.

There is no doubt in my mind that Bush and Mayo received under the table cash while attending school.  USC probably had the mentality out of sight, out of mind.  Bush and Mayo were rolling in it for sure.  -TO

In another pic, she wraps her arms around his shirtless body. “We were super excited for this shoot, but also a bit nervous,” Kardashian blogs. “We had never done a shoot together and didn’t know what to expect! – US Magazine!

Bush and his celebuskank love the attention. Bush’s best work are on  those Subway commercials  and we know Kim’s best work was in that video with Ray J. These two deserve each other. They both crave attention.-TO

Bush and the Tush

The economy doesn’t seem to have taken a toll on Kim Kardashian’s bottom line. The amply rumped reality-show star (above) recently joined her boyfriend, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, at Liv in Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel, where we hear Kim showered clubgoers with $3,000 in singles. Also in attendance were her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney.– NY Post

Making it Rain is old news. It started and ended with PacMan Jones. Anyone else who attempts it, is just copying the master of disaster Pacman. Bush, on the other hand, is the Master of Injuries. -TO

In his honor, girlfriend Kim Kardashian said she got her man “a really nice watch,” a rather mundane gift compared to what she got him behind closed doors (if you know what we mean!).

Kim also partied it up with Bush, who she told reporters has “gotten a lot more comfortable in front of the cameras.”

That may be true. But he’ll never kompete with the komfort Kim exhibits in front of a kamera. -Hollywood Gossip

Its a shame Reggie hasn’t gotten comfortable with being an NFL Running Back.  He is a great talent, but has trouble staying healthy. His time in the NFL is running out.  If i were him i would cash in “The Video” now-TO

No Terez, I predicted Kim and I would attend the Superbowl, not play in it..

New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush is making lofty predictions for the football season. It came on “Live with Regis and Kelly” today as the nation TV show broadcast from New Orleans.Bush told the hosts, “This year is going to be a great year for the Saints. We are going to go the Super Bowl. We’re going to go all the way.” He also said he is recovered from his injury last season and ready to go. “I’m feeling good, feeling very positive about the Saints this year. I feel like this is going to be the year for the Saints. So, I’m looking forward to it.” –New Orleans Times-Picayune
