Gayrod a Metropolitan

Terez, did I hear you say something about man holes....

Terez, did I hear you say something about man holes....

The baseball world changed during the 2003-04 offseason. The Boston Red Sox did not obtain Alex Rodriguez, the New York Yankees did. The players association quashed a deal that would have sent A-Rod from Texas to Boston, refusing to let Rodriguez reduce the value of his contract to facilitate the move. Not long after that, Aaron Boone tore up his knee playing pickup basketball, the Yankees reached out to see if Rodriguez would switch from shortstop to third, and a trade was consummated. Initially this was viewed as Babe Ruth II, the game’s great player slipping from the Red Sox to the Yankees. The Curse seemed like it would never go away. That was two Boston championships ago.

In recent weeks, as the gap between the Red Sox and Yankees has become more pronounced, there have been media attempts to enter the way-back machine and imagine how events might have transpired if Rodriguez had, indeed, ended up in Boston. Would he have become a hero by helping to end the Curse or — like in New York — would his insincerity, insecurity and ego have been a counterweight to his talent, sucking the life out of an entire organization?  But that might not even be the most interesting hypothetical involving Rodriguez. Remember, he was a free agent after the 2000 season and his first preference was to become a Met. -NY Post

Gayrod would be eaten alive on either NY team. He’s not complaining, he loves NYC for all its man holes. -TO

Welcome to the Gayrod Circus

Terez, you always get free admission to my circus

Terez, have you seen the bearded lady around..

BALTIMORE — Alex Rodriguez walked to the plate, and a dozen fans behind the screen swung into action. Holding giant foam syringes, they started with the taunts. Rodriguez answered them, all right. Back in the big leagues, the Yankees star launched the first pitch he saw deep into the left-field seats for a three-run homer Friday night.

That might have hushed his tormentors — for a moment. But baseball figures to face a much tougher time silencing the boos, jeers and doubts stirred up by Manny Ramirez and sport’s latest scandal from the Steroids Era. A day after the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger was suspended 50 games for using a banned drug, A-Rod returned to the scene. Off the disabled list from hip surgery, he played in the majors for the first time since admitting in February that he used steroids when he was with the Texas Rangers in 2001-03.

As he walked on the grass before the game, a fitting song played over the sound system at Camden Yards: ”Circus,” by Britney Spears. -Sun-Times

Gayrod is the ring leader of this steroid circus. I bet you he’s banging the bearded lady. -TO

The Return of the Gayrod

Terez, you guys are so funny...

Terez, you guys are so funny...

So often the vortex of all things strange, Alex Rodriguez again will assume his accustomed role as center of attention on Friday night — though, for now, in the relatively staid setting of playing baseball for the Yankees. Not quite nine weeks after arthroscopic hip surgery March 9, and slightly ahead of schedule, Rodriguez is expected to bat cleanup and play third base when the Yankees begin a three-game series in Baltimore against the Orioles.

It will be the season opener for the 33-year-old Rodriguez in the team’s 29th game. To manager Joe Girardi, “in a sense, it will be like we just made a huge trade” to welcome back the 12th-most prolific home-run hitter (553) in history and a man with a career .306 average.- Newsday

Gayrod better bring his A game.  He is definitely pumped to get back in the clubhouse showers. -TO

Gayrod Had Childhood Trauma

Terez, why did selena do this to me..

Selena Roberts has received a ton of attention for her new book, an author’s dream. But she has faced tough questions about her work from Bob Costas of the MLB Network and Matt Lauer of NBC-TV’s “Today” show. On Tuesday morning, Roberts appeared on “Fox and Friends.” The first question asked by Brian Kilmeade of Fox News: “Are you out to destroy him?” Roberts responded: “Oh, no. I think if you read the full arc of the book you’ll see there’s a very compassionate side to Alex Rodriguez, too, and a very frail side to him created by a childhood trauma.” – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Gayrod has had plenty of Adult Trauma as well. It happens when you get poked too much. -TO

He doesn’t have a hole in his swing, but Alex Rodriguez might have had a hole in his heart vacated after his relationship with Madonna fizzled last year, according to the author of a salicious new biography about the three-time MVP. “He fell in love with Madonna,” Sports Illustrated writer Selena Roberts told Fox And Friends Tuesday. “It changed his entire life — he went from a family man to Madonna’s boyfriend.” Roberts said the third baseman’s infatuation with the singer was based on a longtime admiration he had for her and her music as a kid growing up in South Florida. – Radar Online

Oh Gayrod this is getting out of hand, if you loved her music growing up that speaks volumes about your sexual preference-TO

Gayrod Brought HGH to Yankees Stadium

Terez, I am on top of the world...

In one of the juicer tidbits, Selena Roberts said that a player told her he once saw Alex Rodriguez and former Yankee teammate Kevin Brown with “ampoules of HGH in their possession at Yankee Stadium.” – Radar Online

Gayrod has no shame. He will inject anything into his ass. -TO
