An article in the current issue of Der Spiegel magazine says that when Cristal Taylor met Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki, she introduced herself as Christian Trevino. The article also says Nowitzki knew “nothing” of Taylor’s criminal past. Neither of those previously unreported details was directly or indirectly attributed to Nowitzki – although the German magazine’s story describes a one-on-one interview with the Mavericks star and has several direct quotes from him. “Well, at least I’m not the first to fall for this sort of thing,” Der Spiegel quotes him as saying through a forced smile. – Dallas Morning News
