Ex-Bear Indicted in Federal Drug Case |
Bears former receiver Sam Hurd was arrested a few weeks back outside a Chicago restaurant after he accepted a kilogram of cocaine from a confidential informant and an undercover federal agent posing as a drug supplier — Hurd was indicted Wednesday on federal charges accusing him of arranging to purchase large amounts of drugs to sell in the Chicago area. Hurd allegedly told the agent and a confidential government informant that he needed 5 to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana every week.
