Roethlisberger Posted this on his website: “We would like to let everyone know that last night at 10:06 PM Ashley and I welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby boy into this world. Benjamin Jr. is 7 lbs. 1 oz., and 19-1/2 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing well. We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, it really means a lot to us. God is so good!” Congrats to Big Ben on the big accomplishment.-TO

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Pennsylvania Resources Council has pulled a television ad featuring Steelers wide receiver Emanuelle Sanders telling people not to litter in the wake of Sanders pleading guilty to leaving boxes beside a private dumpster. “I think littering is more throwing trash on the ground and knowing that you’re wrong for it,” Sanders said. ”I actually put the trash in the trash can. That’s the big difference.” — The Irony of this story isn’t lost on me. -TO

Hines Ward was busted for a DUI arrest last summer, and the first thing on his mind was ESPN finding out. The Pittsburgh Steelers Golden Boy knew he was in serious PR trouble after the arrest. In honor of the Steelers all-time leader in most every receiving category, here is a sweet Hines Ward tattoo– It was just announced Hines will be released sometime in the next two weeks said president Art Rooney II on the team’s website on Wednesday. “We had a conversation today with Hines Ward and informed him that we plan to release him of his contract prior to the start of the 2012 NFL calendar year,” Rooney said. “Hines has been an integral part of our success since we drafted him in 1998, and we will forever be grateful for what he has helped us achieve. ” I wonder if Hines’ DUI in the off-season had anything to do with it. -TO
