Former NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp says he knows who ratted on Coach Payton and the Saints. Sapp took to Twitter on Wednesday and said it was former Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey. Shockey denied it was him, telling Yahoo Sports, “It’s reckless, it’s careless, it’s hurtful to me and the great time I had with the Saints. Sean Payton is a father figure to me. I would never do that to him or to the Saints.” Shockey just tweeted out a little text evidence. Is this good enough to clear his name?-TO

New Orleans Head Coach Sean Payton has been suspended for one year, and the Saints will lose its second round pick in 2012 and ’13 and pay $500,000 as a result of the NFL’s bounty investigation, the league announced Wednesday. Payton is the fall guy, which is a shame, but it will give him more time to get his slurp on. -TO
