Magic Johnson knew that for a son to come out to his parents couldn’t have been easy. Magic recalls happened years ago.  “I told him, ‘Hey, we are here to support you, man. We’re going to love you no matter who you are, what you do. We just want you to love yourself,’ ” the NBA legend, 53, tells TMZ.com in a new video. “I love E.J. so much, that’s my main man,” Magic says. “I think he really wanted to be out. But he was torn. … He just didn’t know how. He just said, ‘This is my moment. This is my time. I’m happy to share with the world who I am.’ And I said, ‘Go, E.J., go.’ ” Magic seems like a great dad.-TO

LeBron James  is still thinking over Magic Johnson’s $1 million offer to finally participate in the NBA’s dunk contest. James told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that, although he hasn’t decided on a response to Johnson’s offer, he frequently considers entering the dunk contest. “I don’t have a response yet,” James told Salters prior to the Miami Heat’s game against the New York Knicks on Sunday afternoon. Johnson addressed the issue Friday on ESPN’s “Kia NBA Countdown,” claiming that he would pay $1 million to James — or anyone who can beat him in the dunk contest. Love Magic. LeBron doesn’t need the money, but he definitely needs the cred.-TO
