Houston Astros outfielder Jordan Schafer was arrested in Tampa early this morning and charged with a felony count of possession of marijuana, according to arrest reports…The report said Schafer had a marijuana joint in his left hand, and a search of the vehicle found a “clear plastic container containing a green leafy substance” which tested positive as marijuana…If it looks like weed, and smells like weed, there’s a good chance it’s weed. Camby was pulled over around midnight while driving a black Porsche because there was a sun screen device blocking the front window, police said. According to the report, Officers detected the smell of marijuana in the car, and Camby gave them permission to search the car. Former Boston Red Sox star Manny Ramirez is expected to leave a Broward jail this morning after his bond was set at $2,500 during a court appearance on a domestic battery charge. The recently retired Ramirez has been ordered by the judge to stay away from his wife.Weston Police arrested Ramirez Monday after wife Juliana Ramirez told officers that he struck her with an open hand on the couple’s bed, according to a police report. Juliana Ramirez told police the blow caused her to hit her head on the headboard of their bed and, fearing the situation would escalate, she promptly called police, the report said…Ramirez told officers his wife hit her head after he grabbed her by the shoulders and ‘shrugged’ her, the report said. The report said red swelling was visible on the left side of Juliana Ramirez’ face, and that a contusion on the back of her head was consistent with her story.
