According to the Bryan Police Department, former Houston Oilers quarterback Dante Pastorini has been arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge. The city of Bryan is just northwest of Houston. Pastorini, who still lives in Houston, played for the Oilers from 1971 to 1979. His NFL career came to an end with the Eagles in 1983, but it appears his drinking career is still going strong. -TO

Baseball legend Kirby Puckett has a statue outside the new Twins Ballpark..When the statue was unveiledthe public outcry was immense..people were pissed the statue looked nothing like the Twins legend..As a result of the negative press over the statue, Twins Cities sculptor Bill Mack has plans on tweaking the beard and teeth on the Kirby Puckett bronze statue to make it look more like puck..Mack, on the defensive, defended his image of what the Kirby statue should look like.. “I understand your concern that the likeness created doesn’t conform to your memory of what your friend Kirby Puckett looked like,” said Mack. “I’ve got a memory of him like everybody else. But there is nothing specific about it. How somebody can say it doesn’t look like Puckett — I don’t believe that at all.”My job was not to create a typical likeness of the man but to memorialize Kirby in a very special, surreal moment captured in surreal imagery in the moment photographed 20 years ago” It’s obvious the dude dropped the ball on the statue..luckily for him, he can fix the mistakes he made..but good luck getting another statue gig in Minnesota..-TO
According to the Tribune, LeBron James took in some Chicago nightlife while in town for his playoff matchup against the Bulls..LeBron did the shopping thing at Barneys on Friday, then hit hot spot Sunda later that night as well going to two more clubs after dinner..The last spot LeBron hit was a club called Cuvee, where LeBron was bought champagne by a fan who requested the Bulls starting lineup intro as LeBron was delivered his champagne with sparklers..Bron Bron hung until 3 am and then bounced..but was quite flattered by the fans in Chicago..I wonder how the nightlife in Cleveland compares? According to my sources, after a long hiatus and fans wondering if Kenny Powers would ever return, the show is on its way back for a second season, and it will be set in Mexico. Kenny will be pitching for a Mexican baseball team as his career winds down..Season 1 was real funny..looking forward to seeing Kenny navigate his way through the language barrier and cultural differences..and here’s to hoping Ashley Schaeffer makes a cameo.
