Son of MMA legend ready for final amateur fight ‎

Meet my son Terez..he's a good kid..

Many Tuff-N-Uff events have been titled “The Future Stars of MMA,” but Friday’s fights at The Orleans promise to live up to that hype more than any other. The event, which starts at 7 p.m., features Ryan Couture’s (5-1) last amateur bout, when he takes on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prodigy Sean Bollinger (1-0) for the vacant 155-pound Tuff-N-Uff championship. “My goal was to make it as a pro, so I’ve been trying to gauge where I am with each passing fight,” said Couture, who has won his last four fights by submission. “After the last couple, I’ve felt like I was at that level.” Despite Couture’s pedigree as the son of UFC Hall of Fame fighter Randy Couture, the 27-year-old didn’t initially think he would become a professional fighter. “If you had asked me two-and-a-half to three years ago if I’d ever fight for a living, I would have laughed and said no way,” he said. –Las Vegas Sun

Stepdad Bruce Jenner Hopeful for Kim Kardashian & Reggie Bush

Terez, Bruce has been like a real father to me..

If father – or in this case stepfather – really does know best, maybe Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Reggie Bush should listen to Bruce Jenner as they work through their relationship troubles.  “It’s two very successful people, and it’s not easy,” Jenner, 60. told the radio show Kidd Kraddick in the Morning about his stepdaughter and her NFL star beau. “I hope for the best … I love Reggie. Reggie’s a great guy. I love Kim. She’s just a super sweet, great human being.” Kardashian, 29, and New Orleans Saints runningback Bush, 25, recently decided to step back from their relationship, in part because Bush has been struggling with Kardashian’s demanding schedule. –People

There are times when a fan can’t help but be concerned about Gus Johnson’s health. But while you can capture the audio experience of watching those games by going to this Gus Johnson soundboard and clicking the sound marked “OHHHHHHH!!!” -Wall Street Journal

Tim Tebow Keynote Speaker at Boy Scouts Function

Tim, the keynote speaker for the Boy Scouts

Controversial Quarterback Tim Tebow was the keynote speaker at a Boy Scouts function on Thursday afternoon. The luncheon was celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America..Before he addressed the crowd, he had a few things to say to reporters who were in attendance. “There are so many other things I want to do that are more important than football,” he said. “Trying to make a difference. That’s what my life is all about. I always want to be known as someone who was better off the field than on the field. People are going to forget the touchdowns, and the trophies are going to rust. But what you do for people and the impact you have on people is going to last forever.” Said Tebow. Sounds like Timmy wants to be the next Mother Teresa and not a great NFL quarterback..To see Timmy the boy scout, take the jump. -TO

One and Done Rule to Hit Kentucky Basketball Hardest

We out Terez..

The one and done rule is turning freshman phenoms into sophomore bolters..The rule, which went into effect in 2006, requires a player to be at least 19 years old and one year out of high school before entering the draft. No freshman in their right mind would stick around when serious cash is at their doorstep..Even studs like Kentucky’s John Wall, who is literally worshiped at the College level, wouldn’t turn down the opportunity at a Multi-millionaire dollar deal..No chance the “John Wall Dance Phenomenon” will catch on like it has in Lexington, but if UK wins this year, he will be remebered forever..You only get one year to become a legend these days.. “What I do is recruit the best players I can and if they’re prepared after a year to go, I influence them to go,” Calipari told the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times. “Then you just keep reloading.” Calipari will have to find his next Wall..and go from there. -TO
