ESPN never seems to have any shortage of internal soap operas. Tales of sexual harassment, or at least misbehavior, are legion at “The Worldwide Leader,” as it likes to call itself. The latest involves Pardon the Interruption co-host Tony Kornheiser, who usually succeeds in being caustic yet humorous. Looks like he missed the mark this time and has been suspended indefinitely by his bosses in Bristol, Conn. His transgression? Making fun of what ESPN anchor Hannah Storm, 47, was wearing on air. Kornheiser, according to a report on the Web site of The Sporting News, said Storm was wearing “a horrifying, horrifying outfit” and a “very, very tight shirt.” Storm does look like she shops in the juniors department and likes to show off her slender figure. But TK obviously went too far, especially when he added, “She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body. “I know she’s very good, and I’m not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won’t … but Hannah Storm … come on now! The CEO of the Procter & Gamble Co. says he doesn’t know whether Tiger Woods will ever appear in another Gillette commercial. Bob McDonald says P&G wishes Woods the best in his efforts to work on family issues, after Woods’ public apology for infidelity last Friday. “He doesn’t need to be distracted by us using his advertising, and we don’t need the distraction of us using the advertising, either,” McDonald told The Associated Press. Woods still appears online among the “Gillette Champions,” but new commercials for a Gillette shaver and related products feature Roger Federer and baseball’s Derek Jeter but not the world’s best golfer. The three were in Gillette’s major advertising campaign last year. Asked if Woods will be in future advertising, McDonald replied: “I don’t know … we’ve got lots of great spokespeople.” P&G unit Gillette signed Woods to a contract in 2007; Gillette officials decline to say its length and value. AT&T Inc. and Accenture dropped Woods completely in the weeks after the first revelations about his personal life. Former NBA star Jayson Williams was sentenced to five years in prison Tuesday for fatally shooting a hired driver in 2002, ending an eight-year legal odyssey by tearfully apologizing to the victim’s family. He will be eligible for parole in 18 months. Williams, avoiding a retrial on a reckless manslaughter count that deadlocked the jury at his 2004 trial, pleaded guilty last month to aggravated assault in the death of Costas Christofi in February 2002. At the same 2004 trial, he was acquitted of aggravated manslaughter but convicted on four counts of covering up the shooting. State Superior Court Judge Edward Coleman sentenced Williams in Somerville, N.J., to five years for the cover-up counts, a sentence that will run concurrent to the assault sentence. –Tribune News Services

Results from a national media study among 1,090 Americans revealed that Tiger Woods’ apology for his extramarital affairs was ranked second among other celebrity apologies in 2009 and 2010. … Chris Brown’s apology for assaulting Rihanna scored a 17.2 with regard to the change in perceived sincerity levels, compared to Woods’ apology, which scored a 7.9 with regard to the change in perceived sincerity levels. After further review, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is officially off the hook for five traffic tickets he got late last year … which means cops in AZ will be charged five time-outs. As we first reported, Larry’s speeding Cadillac Escalade was repeatedly captured by police cameras in Arizona — four times in August ’09 and once in November of ’09… but the only ticket that could theoretically stick was the one written in November … because that’s the only one with a black guy behind the wheel. Maricopa County court officials tell TMZ all five tickets have been dismissed — which means Larry even dodged the November bullet. –TMZ
