Evan Lysacek: Kim Kardashian Twittered Me After I Won Gold!

Evan Lysacek has an admirer: Kim Kardashian! When UsMagazine.com asked the Olympic figure skater about the coolest things that have happened to him since winning gold in Vancouver, he said, “I got a Tweet from Kim Kardashian!” (Lysacek, who is sponsored by Polo, also tells Us he got a call from “Mr. Ralph Lauren himself.”) So what did Kardashian, 29, say? “I don’t remember. It said something like, ‘Congratulations’ or ‘Great Job,’” Lysacek recalls. (For the record, she wrote, “Goooo @evanlysacek Good luck guys!”) The Chicago native, 24, also did an interview with Oprah Winfrey. “It was pretty sweet,” he said.  Lysacek admits he hasn’t taken off his medal since winning it Feb. 19.  “It’s heavy, and I have to get used to it and keep my neck strong,” he joked to Us. He thinks he’ll display it in his Los Angeles home. “It’s such a beautiful medal. It’s made of all recycled material and they’re one-of-a-kind. So what’s next for the Olympian? Alex Rodriguez has dumped pretty Miami blonde Elaine Spottswood, telling friends she was getting “too clingy” — the same reason he ditched Kate Hudson. NFL Could Change Overtime Format Just For playoffs

Terez, whoever wins the coin toss usually wins..don't tell anyone..

An NFL spokesman says the league could change its overtime format for playoff games at a meeting next month. Greg Aiello said Satuday that under the new format, both teams would get the ball at least once unless the first team to get the ball scores a touchdown. If the first team to get the ball makes a field goal and the other team ties the game, action would continue until a team scores again. Under the current rules, the first team to score wins. The competition committee will discuss the new concept with teams and players at league meetings March 21-24 in Orlando, Fla., when it could come to a vote. At least two thirds of the teams would need to agree to the changes for new rules to be adopted. –Tribune News Services

It’s hard to say if Olympic records are being set, but tickets for Sunday’s gold medal hockey game between the U.S. and Canada might be the hottest in the history of Canadian sports. On the official fan-to-fan resale site run by the Vancouver Organizing Committee, seats were being offered for several thousand dollars apiece. On Craigslist, many of the tickets on sale were going for more than $4,000, and one seller was offering two “awesome seats” for $14,999 — cash only. Canada, playing before rabid fans in the nation that invented hockey, will be taking on a strong U.S. team that prevailed 5-3 when the two teams met in the preliminary round. Even before the Olympics started, Canadians suggested anything less than a gold medal would be a devastating blow. The game is expected to become the most watched sports event ever in Canada, likely breaking the mark of 10.6 million TV viewers for the preliminary-round Canada-U.S. game. Organizers were philosophical Saturday when asked about the high ticket prices. “No one is being forced to buy tickets they don’t want,” said Mark Adams, a spokesman for the International Olympic Committee. –Tribune News Services

Terrell Owens Done as a Buffalo Bill

It's all good Terez..we'll find a nice spot..

Orchard Park, N.Y. — Terrell Owens time as a Buffalo Bills has come and gone.  The Bills announced that Owens would not be offered a contract for the upcoming season on Sunday, meaning Owens will be free to seek a new team as an unrestricted Free Agent on March 5th. Owens wasn’t the only player informed that he won’t be offered a contract, Buffalo also notified wide receiver Josh Reed and defensive end Ryan Denney that they are free to seek jobs with other teams. In his lone season with the Bills, Owens led Buffalo with 55 catches for 829 yards and five touchdowns.  He also managed to set the Bills team record for longest touchdown reception, a 98 yard play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. “I would like to thank the great fans in Buffalo, Ralph Wilson & the Bills organization for all their support this past season,” Owens put on his Twitter page Saturday night. While it was not expected that the two sides would agree on a contract to bring Owens back to Buffalo, it does signal the Bills’ plans to move in a different direction under Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix. Earlier this week at the NFL combine, Gailey told reporters that he had yet to speak with Owens, and it’s not clear if Owens and Gailey ever did speak before the wide receiver was released from his contract. –13 Wham.com
