The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be having trouble on the road. Two of the team’s stars were nailed on one of L.A.’s most famous freeways recently for breaking some driving laws. TMZ has learned Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum were each pulled over on the 405 freeway in the last few days. Odom was popped for speeding — law enforcement sources tell us he was going more than 80 miles per hour. Bynum was busted for shadier circumstances — cops say he had illegally tinted windows on his Mercedes Benz. Fun Fact: In the State of California, it’s illegal to have ANY aftermarket tinting applied to the front driver’s side and passenger windows in your car … who knew?! -TMZ

Even under a gag order, it’s hard for Bob Arum to remain completely silent about a potential megafight between boxing superstars Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. The Top Rank chairman said Tuesday he’d like to see the fight take place in Las Vegas, the hometown of Arum and Mayweather and the site of Pacquiao’s greatest ring triumphs. But there is fierce competition from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who wants to put the fight in his new $1.3 billion, 80,000-seat stadium in Arlington, Texas. Arum also said New Orleans has shown strong interest in hosting the fight at the 70,000-seat Louisiana Superdome. “A lot of places want to host,” Arum said Tuesday at the Las Vegas Hilton, where he had a news conference to promote the Dec. 19 world middleweight championship fight between Kelly Pavlik and Miguel Espino in Youngstown, Ohio. “But for tax purposes, you have to have it in either Nevada or Texas, where there is no state income tax. That’s why we probably couldn’t have it in New York or New Jersey. “There’s talk the governor (Bobby Jindal) might waive the tax for this fight if it went to New Orleans. But he’d have to do that for it to have any chance of happening there.” One possible Las Vegas venue is a proposed 30,000-seat temporary stadium on the site formerly occupied by the Frontier across from Wynn Las Vegas. Public relations consultant Sig Rogich is working on the Frontier site on Arum’s behalf and has talked to Steve Wynn about partnering on the project. – Las Vegas Review-Journal

Chicago Bears LB Lance Briggs, 29, may be the most nonchalant comic book geek in the world, understandably oblivious to the taunts and snickers that greet your average, physically less-intimidating hard-core enthusiast. So there was Briggs at Challengers the other night, prowling its aisles, stooping to examine a cover, then adding it to the expanding mound of $3 issues he was gathering beneath his arm, his eyes never leaving the racks. He’s a big reader of “The Darkness,” “New X-Men,” “Pitt,” “Silver Surfer.” His total bill, a couple of hours later: $154.54. Reginald Sampay, a friend of Briggs who runs the athlete’s Briggs 4 Kidz outreach program, said if you’re off the field and around Briggs long enough, you can’t help but get drawn into comics: “Because if you’re not, you’re left out of the conversation.” How serious is he? So serious that, later, he agreed to sit in the back of the store for an hourlong interview with “Around Comics,” a weekly podcast hosted by similarly dedicated Chicago comic book fanboys, including Katers and Chris Neseman, one of the organizers of the Windy City Comicon. – Chicago Tribune

I thought Kim Kardashian was always bragging about her big ass and loving her body the way it was, but apparently I was wrong and thank god because this new version that she posted on her twitter (full size pic here) is much much better. Her face looks kind of photoshopped, but if I think too much it will ruin the fantasy so I don’t really care. If I can pretend my girlfriend is Megan Fox during sex I can sure as hell pretend that a picture of Kim Kardashian is really Kim Kardashian. WWTDD.com

Lindsey Vonn, the most successful female ski racer in U.S. history, is poised to win five medals in the Vancouver games. But despite her busy agenda, the importance of the Olympics still looms large. After all, Vonn, who is somewhat of a celebrity in Europe, where ski racing has a relatively big fan base, sees the Winter Games as an opportunity to get more Americans excited about the sport. “Everyone is really into the extreme sports these days, but you know, ski racing is really extreme,” she says. “We’re going down the mountain at 90 m.p.h. Kimbo Slice, the wildly popular mixed martial arts heavyweight and member of the cast of “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights,” will fight for the first time in the UFC live on Spike TV Saturday, December 5 at 9:00pm.
