Ryan Moats Dashboard Cam Video Part 1

Video from a police dashboard camera shows Dallas Police Officer Robert Powell stopping NFL player Ryan Moats, who was rushing with his wife and other relatives to the hospital March 17 to see his ailing mother-in-law in the hospital. She died while Moats was given a ticket in front of the hospital

Crazy story. Sorry about the Vids being split in two. Part two will be posted later today.  The cop should have realized he was caught on camera. What an Idiot. -TO

Mouse Face Stalked

I smell Cheese....

I smell Cheese....

LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors charged a man Thursday with stalking “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Shawn Johnson, saying he drove from Florida in a car found with loaded guns, duct tape and love letters to meet the 17-year-old Olympic gymnast.

The Los Angeles Country district attorney’s office charged Robert O’Ryan, 34, with one felony count of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of carrying a loaded gun in a vehicle. He was scheduled to appear for arraignment Thursday in Superior Court, where prosecutors said they would request his bail be raised from $35,000 to $220,000.

Authorities said O’Ryan was arrested Tuesday after he tried to jump a security fence at CBS Studios, where the ABC show is filmed. Police later searched his car and said they found a shotgun and handgun — both loaded — as well as duct tape and love letters.

A restraining order requested by Johnson’s parents said she was “in fear of her life” and was issued Wednesday against O’Ryan. A statement by Johnson’s mother, Teri, states that she was told by police that O’Ryan believed he was meant to have a child with her daughter.

If convicted, O’Ryan could face up to four years in prison. Court records do not indicate whether he had a lawyer.

Johnson, of West Des Moines, Iowa, won one gold and three silver medals at the Beijing Olympics and is one of the remaining celebrity contestants on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

“We are confident that it will be handled appropriately by all involved,” said Johnson’s publicist Sue Madore in an e-mail. The show added in a statement that appropriate authorities were handling the matter.

Extremely creepy. Guns and love letters don’t mix. The more the media covers athletes, the more stalkers it breeds. Terez has a few online stalkers and yes they are crazy. -TO

The Original LJ spotted at MSG

Terez, I'm baaackkk!

Terez, I'm baaackkk!

A svelte Larry Johnson made his second straight appearance at the Garden — his first two back since he last played for the Knicks in 2000, after which he was forced to retire because of back problems. Former Knicks point guard Micheal Ray Richardson, who formerly coached the Albany, N.Y., team in the CBA, also was in the building. – Bergen Record

I completely forgot about the first LJ of sports. Grandmama was a big star back in the day. It’s good to see he is still alive and kicking. -TO

Scared Straight: Butkus Style

Dont do Steroids or you'll be crazy like me...

Dont do Steroids or you'll be crazy just like me...

Earlier this year on the NFL Network,Dick Butkus was named the scariest player in league history. Now he’s all about scaring high school steroid users straight and straight athletes straighter. The NFL Hall of Famer and his son, Matt, have joined forces with sports nutrition giant EAS and other supporters to encourage high school athletes to train hard, eat well and play with attitude instead of resorting to shortcuts that come in a syringe or have names like “andro” or “dianabol.” – Mansfield News Journal

Butkus was a crazy ass football player. Legend has it he bit off a another players ear during a game. If anyone can scare high schoolers straight its this guy. Who needs roids when you could pump your body full of EAS supplements -TO

Michael Vick Halfway Home

Which way to the doghouse?

Which way to the doghouse?

Michael Vick will serve the last two months of his sentence under home confinement in Hampton, Va. because there is no room at a halfway house. According to his lawyer Daniel Meachum, Vick will be released to his home on May 20. His scheduled release date remains July 20. He will be on electronic monitoring and allowed to leave home only for activities approved by his probation officer. Vick’s house in Hampton is one of four he still owns. His house in metro-Atlanta’s Sugarloaf Country Club failed to sell at auction on March 10 as part of the bankruptcy case. – Atlanta Journal-Constitution

A bit of good news in Vick’s world. I figured they would put him under house arrest to fulfill his sentence. What house is he going back to though? The Doghouse? -TO

Welcome the newest member of my family…TaylorMade R9.

http://www.terezowens.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/a820_taylormade_r9_2.jpg
The R9 is a nasty b*tch.

TaylorMade has announced the launch of its revolutionary new driver, the TaylorMade R9. By giving players the ability to manually change the face angle as well as the centre of gravity, the TaylorMade R9 represents a new dawn in golf club adjustability.

A specially engineered wrench allows players to change the face angle, lie and loft into one of eight different positions. Importantly, when the face angle closes the loft increases to ensure optimum carry. As the face angle opens the loft decreases to deliver a controlled, penetrating ball flight.

There are also three weight ports in the head (positioned in the heel, centre and toe) and it comes with one 16 gram and two one gram weights. Players can use the same wrench to change the position of the weights promoting different flight shapes.

By combining the adjustability of the face with moveable weight technology, the TaylorMade R9 has 24 different options so that every player should find a set-up that feels comfortable at address and delivers a consistent shape and trajectory.

The triangular shaped head of the R9 is just 420cc which TaylorMade describes as ‘modern and traditional’.

The TaylorMade R9 driver will be available with a new Fujikura Motore stock shaft. This features a High Inertia Tip that should generate more speed through impact for greater distance. However, there will also be a TP version of the R9 head that will be available in nine different custom shafts including the following: Aldila Voodoo, Mitsubishi Fubuki, Matrix XCON 5 and Matrix HD6.

I would like to thank the guys at TaylorMade for sending me the new R9 driver. It makes a nice addition to my r7 irons and I hit it better than the Titleist D2 that I shattered into a thousand pieces on the side of a rock after I salted a ball o.b. to the right. So I played a few rounds with the new R9 and had the head set on left to compliment my draw and only lost a few to the right. Length was pretty good but I think I lost some distance with a high ball flight. I need to get on the vector with it and see what numbers it’s turning. Hey guys can you send me an 8.5 loft please in XS HD6 shaft this time? Cheers. -TO

Pirate and Pirate Wife Married at Checks Cashed

I think I married the wrong woman....

I think I married the wrong woman....

Pirates prospect Jose Tabata says he was “hurt, frustrated and confused” when he learned of an alleged baby snatching incident that unfolded over the past few days that led to the arrest of his wife, a woman twice his age with a criminal past and several aliases. Mr. Tabata, an outfielder and shining prospect whom members of Pirates management talk about some day playing in Pittsburgh for 20 years, isn’t implicated in the child-abduction case for which his wife was arrested and jailed yesterday in Tampa. Her bail was set at $750,000. Mr. Tabata, 20, is “not a suspect by any means,” said Plant City, Fla., Police Sgt. David Millich, the investigating detective in the events that led to missing 2-month-old Sandra Cruz-Francisco winding up in the arms of Amalia Tabata Pereira, 43, who turned her over to police Tuesday afternoon. “I can tell you from our case here in Plant City, he’s not a suspect.” Ms. Pereira was “just somebody he happened to be married to,” Sgt. Millich added. She and Mr. Tabata, then 19 1/2 and having just completed a season with Class A Tampa in the New York Yankees organization, were wed in January 2008 at a check-cashing and tax outlet called Amscot, the Times reported. – Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

This story keeps on getting stranger by the day. I never knew you could wed at a Checks Cashed. I bet 100% of marriages that begin at a Checks Cashed end up at a Checks Cashed. -TO
