Tiger Woods took pain pills before crash

Oh no..you found out about the pills didn't you?

While waiting for an ambulance to take her unconscious husband to the hospital after he crashed his SUV, Tiger Woods’ wife handed officers two bottles of pain medicine that she said he had taken earlier in the day, according to investigative records released Friday to the Orlando Sentinel.  She also tried to ride in the ambulance to the hospital with her husband, but the crew wouldn’t let her, saying this was a case of domestic violence, the Florida Highway Patrol records show.  Those details and others were released Friday by the agency, following a Dec. 16 public records request by The Orlando Sentinel. –Tribune News Services

The new show titled “The Tournament” will be a mix of Chad’s on-field charisma with the usual drama associated with matchmaking reality shows..but in this case the format will be played out in a bracket-style dating tournament. Drew Brees Scores Book Deal

New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees both have book deals in the works after their remarkable Super Bowl season. Payton’s book, titled “Home Team,” is scheduled to be released in the first week of July and will center on the unique relationship between the Saints and the city. The details of Brees’ book have not been announced, but he confirmed that he plans to become a first-time author through a tweet Thursday night. “I never thought this would happen, but I am writing a book. A great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many,” Brees said on his Twitter account. Payton’s book will be written in collaboration with Ellis Henican, a columnist for Newsday, host of a nationally syndicated talk show and analyst for Fox News. And it will be published by the NAL/Penguin Publishing Company. — New Orleans Times-Picayune

Ben Roethlisberger just added another elite member to his defense team — a famous private investigator who’s handled several high profile celebrity cases before. TMZ has learned the P.I. is Charles Mittelstadt – who has worked as a lead investigator on behalf of NFL stars like Ray Lewis and Jamal Lewis. Mittelstadt has also worked for rapper T.I. and convicted Olympic bomber Eric Rudolph.  Hiring a private investigator is a sign that the alleged victim is fair game. In this case, as we already reported, law enforcement tells us alcohol was a factor.  It’s a safe bet the P.I. will go down that road … as well as others. –TMZ
